Frank Wartena

Philips

Frank Wartena has put in an incredible amount of work into making the 2010 Continua Implementation Guidelines a reality. The job of coordinating the efforts of several individuals and groups as well as guiding the creation of such a wide-ranging technical document is intensely complex, and the addition of tighter time constraints do not make the task any easier. But Frank clearly has been up to the task with his dependability, knowledge and superior organizational talents.

Bernard Burg, PhD

Panasonic

The Continua Alliance has truly benefitted from Bernard’s leadership of the PAN sub-group. Chairing the PAN sub-group was a challenging task since many of the issues to be resolved required superior command of technical details of a variety of data protocols and transports. But Bernard did a fantastic job of assembling the right individuals (as well as offering solutions) to solve vexing problems in the pulse oximetry, glucometry, ECG and insulin pump specializations. He also articulated the Alliance’s Bluetooth Low Energy adoption strategy.

Tomas O'Raghallaigh

Frontline Test Equipment

Tomas is an engaged and involved TCWG member.  His technical expertise as well as his dedication has been instrumental in the success of the Continua plugfests since the beginning.  He has provided his personal time to help Continua members debug their products at numerous plugfest events.  In addition, Tomas has been influential in getting the Frontline Test Equipment analyzer code into the CESL code base free of charge, and Tomas has been persistent in educating Continua members on the value this free code brings.  Despite a full travel schedule, Tomas consistently participates in TCWG as well as the CCB and selection committee subgroups and provides valuable input to the team.

Julian Goldman, MD
